Understanding Near Field Communication technology and how it powers NewFans Pro
Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short-range wireless technology that enables communication between devices when they're brought close together (typically within 4 cm or 1.5 inches).
Works within 4 cm for security and intentional interaction
Passive tags powered by the reader's electromagnetic field
Short range makes eavesdropping difficult
An NFC tag stores a small amount of data (typically a URL) in its memory chip. NewFans Pro uses NTAG213 chips that can store up to 144 bytes.
When you bring your NFC-enabled phone close to the tag, the phone's NFC reader generates an electromagnetic field.
The electromagnetic field powers the tag's chip (no battery needed!) and the tag transmits its stored data back to the phone.
Your phone receives the URL from the tag and automatically opens it in your browser, taking you to the claim page.
The entire process takes less than a second, providing instant access to your digital content.
NewFans Pro uses NTAG213 chips for optimal compatibility and security
Verifies the authenticity of the device claiming the tag to prevent fraud
Each tag can only be claimed once, preventing duplicate claims
Tags can be disabled with reason codes for security or quality issues
Tags can be reassigned to different users if needed

Note: Over 90% of smartphones sold since 2018 have NFC capability built-in.
Keep URLs under 130 characters to ensure compatibility with NTAG213 chips
Use the tap-test validator to verify tags work correctly before shipping to fans
Metal surfaces can interfere with NFC signals. Use spacers if needed
Add a simple "Tap with phone" instruction near the tag for clarity
Include a QR code as a fallback for devices without NFC
